You can upload a Dataset to Graphext when starting a project or directly from the dataset list in the “datasets” tab. Before uploading a dataset select the team you would like to upload the dataset, as all datasets uploaded to a team will be shared with members of that team, for example: Public team will be shared with the entire Graphext community.

Once in the datasets list you will just need to press the “upload” dataset button.

A modal will now open with our dataset fetching options. By default you will see the File Upload option.

FILE UPLOAD

To upload a dataset you can either drag a file from your computer and drop it inside the dashed box or click in "browse in your computer and a file selector will open in your browser. Graphext now supports .arr, .csv, .gml, .json, .sav, .tsv and .xslx files. As soon as your file gets successfully uploaded it will be included on the top of your datasets list. The uploaded dataset can now be used for creating a project

GOOGLE DRIVE

You can connect to google drive to retrieve your .cvs files directly. First, you will need to connect you drive account to Graphext by clicking on “connect”.


A pop over browser window will open asking you to sign in into your account and will also ask for permission to give access to graphext.com. You will need to accept in order to connect.

As soon as you are connected, you will need to provide the shareable link to you stored .csv file in Google Drive and press on "Add dataset".

IMPORTANT: You will need to provide the shareable link to the .csv, you can obtain it like this:

Once it uploads it will show on top of your datasets list.

GOOGLE SHEETS

Connecting to Google Sheets is similar to connecting to Google Drive. First, you will need to connect you drive account to Graphext by clicking on “connect”. If you have previously connected to Google Drive from Graphext you will not need to follow this first steps.

As soon as you are connected, you will need to provide the shareable link to you Google Sheet and press on "Add dataset". Once it uploads it will show on top of your datasets list.

IMPORTANT: You will need to provide the shareable link to the .csv, you can obtain it like this:

POSTGRESQL

To retrieve data from a Postgresql database you will need to connect by filling in the fields in the form bellow and then press Connect.

You will now need to provide a Query to retrieve your data, once it is completed you can press "Add dataset". Your fetched dataset will now show on top of your dataset list. For further details on how to use queries and connect to PostgreSQL please visit PostgreSQL documentation here.
