We have specific analyses or “Recipes” for three types of Use Cases: Facebook Ads, Facebook Posts and Facebook Comments

Facebook Ads

  1. Open Tractor and select as Source Facebook Ads
  2. To receive Facebook Ads you first will need to provide Tractor the right URL. Facebook Ads of any Facebook Pages can be found here. Once you open a certain page simply copy and paste the URL into Tractor. 
  3. Once the scraping is finished you can upload the CSV to Graphext and we auto-suggested you the right Recipe for your Analysis.
  4. We create Clusters based on the Text of the Ads. Right now we can only retrieve additional information of demographics for political parties.

Facebook Posts

  1. Open Tractor and select as Source Facebook Page
  2. To retrieve Facebook Comments from a single Post simply select in the field Get... the option Posts and Paste the Link of the Facebook Page you want to analyze the Posts of in the Page Link field.
  3. Once the scraping is finished you can upload the CSV to Graphext and we auto-suggest you the Recipe Facebook Posts for your analysis.
  4. We create Clusters based on the Text of the Columns. Additionally we export the Likes and Emotion Variables for your manual exploration to the project.

Facebook Comments

  1. Open Tractor and select as Source Facebook Page
  2. To retrieve Facebook Comments from a single Post simply select in the field Get... the option Comments and Paste the Link of the Facebook Post you want to analyze the comments of in the Page Link field.
  3. Once the scraping is finished you can upload the CSV to Graphext and we auto-suggest you the Recipe Facebook Comments for your analysis.
  4. We create Clusters based on the Text of the Columns. Additionally we export the Likes and Emotion Variables for your manual exploration to the project.


Limitations:

Regular Ads
You can access all active ads, even ones that may not have been shown to you because you weren't part of an advertiser's intended audience. Spending and target demographic is only available for Political ads. Inactive ads won't be shown!

Political Ads
The Library contains data on every active and inactive ad about social issues, elections or politics that's run since March 2019.
