We have redesigned the experience of Collections to introduce SEGMENTATIONS.  Segmentations has been completely redesigned to improve the user experience:

  • Improved usability.
  • Allow the user to create multiple segmentations.
  • Drill down using automatic segmentations.
  • Allow users to change the colour of the clusters.
  • Allow users to have multiple (reclustering) columns to be used in parallel using automatic segmentations.

Now, you will have two different options to choose as segmentations:

  • Automatic Segmentations: it will automatically create a clustering based on the selection that you have done (drill down into a selection), and it will allow you to use and save different reclustering parameters.
  • Manual Segmentations: it is a manual segmentation (old collections) that the user can decide to do. You can create multiple manual segmentations (NOT LIMITED to 1 collection anymore)

Automatic Segmentations

Automatic Segmentations, allows the user to automatically recluster a selection. This can be used above to zoom into data and deep dive into it.

Manual Segmentations

In order to create and interact with segmentations, it will be essential to enter the "editor mode" in Segmentations, which will be enabled by clicking the blue icon on the following image:

While on editor mode,  you will be able to do as many changes as possible. Changes won't be saved until the "OK" button is pressed. While on editor mode, you can press on the "undo" button to revert the last changes.
